Talascend is currently seeking an Assembly Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Houston, Texas.

Overview

The assembly technician role involves assembling fabricated parts, testing, and calibrating components to ensure compliance with product specifications and quality standards. This position requires manual dexterity and attention to detail to support manufacturing processes.

 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Assemble fabricated parts and components at designated workstations.
  • Test and calibrate parts and mechanisms to ensure they meet product specifications and tolerance requirements.
  • Use hand tools and power tools to assemble products according to detailed instructions.
  • Identify units that do not meet quality or testing standards and perform necessary repairs or corrections.
  • Follow established work instructions, safety procedures, and quality requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

 

Qualifications

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Apprenticeship and/or formal training in a related specialty area may be required.
  • 0 to 2 years of experience in manufacturing, assembly, or a related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to follow instructions and established guidelines with close supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education.
