Talascend is currently seeking a Facilities Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Tualatin, Oregon.
Overview
The main function of a facilities technician is to provide general maintenance support for the assigned buildings, ensuring safety, security, and optimal operation of the facility.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the facility to ensure that it remains safe, secure, and well-maintained.
- Troubleshoot power, HVAC system and controls, and mechanical systems.
- Maintain general and preventative maintenance, carpentry, plumbing systems, and vendor management.
- Replace lighting system bulbs and ballasts as needed.
- Move office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials, as requested.
- Support escorting contractors and ensure they are wearing all required PPE.
- Support miscellaneous tasks around site closing, including swapping door handles, securing netting, and completing checklists and reports in a timely fashion.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2-4 years experience required.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education.
