Talascend is currently seeking an Inventory Coordinator for a contract opportunity with our client in Schenectady, New York.

Overview

This role involves organizing and validating inventory and work orders in SAP, ensuring inventory accuracy, and supporting warehouse operations. The position requires collaboration with teams to troubleshoot issues and improve processes.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and validate incoming work orders and reporting through SAP
  • Create and manage pick tickets, cycle count sheets, and standard reports (KPIs)
  • Audit, correct, and maintain proper inventory levels in SAP
  • Troubleshoot production orders, receiving, inventory discrepancies, and other transactional issues
  • Assist operations and warehouse teams with order issues, product returns, and nonconforming products
  • Determine root cause of order/transactions and assist in developing process improvement plans
  • Respond to front line escalations and address issues with bulk material
  • Conduct job audits from start to completion and label job materials
  • Assist in return to stock processes and coordinate with the warehouse for pick issues
  • Attend turnovers, L1, and L2 meetings
  • Assist in PI/Cycle Count preparation and locating "lost" material

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Strong background in ERP systems (e.g., SAP Powermax) and knowledge of materials distribution, logistics processes, and inventory management
  • Superior organizational skills
  • Strong transactional knowledge with troubleshooting experience
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment
  • Strong data entry and computer skills (Excel, Word, Office, etc.)
  • Ability to develop strong product knowledge
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education.
