Talascend is currently seeking a HR Support Specialist for a long-term contract opportunity with our client in Plano, Texas. 

Overview

The HR Support Specialist provides administrative support to HR Centers of Excellence and assists employees and managers with HR inquiries, policies, and programs. This role is critical in managing employee information, supporting HR processes, and ensuring compliance with policies and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a first point of contact for employees, managers, and HR teams to address inquiries related to benefits, employee relations, staffing, and compensation.
  • Provide general HR administrative support to HR Centers of Excellence and business partners.
  • Manage and update employee information within the human capital management system (HCM).
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, including HR metrics.
  • Support queries and projects related to HCM and HR portals.
  • Document inquiries and escalate complex issues to subject matter experts.
  • Meet SLA standards for accurate and timely responses to HR inquiries.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR processes and information systems.
  • Support ad hoc HR projects and activities as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred but not required.
  • 2+ years of experience in HR administration, payroll, and business support.
  • Korean/English bilingual is strongly preferred. 
  • Knowledge of government regulations, industry trends, and HR best practices.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience with ERP HCM systems, preferably Workday.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with ability to interact at all levels.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on timeliness and follow-up.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational skills and teamwork capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education.
