Talascend is currently seeking an HR Coordinator for a contract opportunity with our client in Bangor, Maine.
Overview
The HR Coordinator supports high-volume hiring, employee walk-ins, communications, process improvement, and the transition to an HR self-service model. This on-site role requires a tech-savvy, adaptable, and self-directed professional.
Responsibilities
- Learn current workflows, identify bottlenecks, and help streamline manual, multi-system processes.
- Support high-volume internal and external hiring needs, including coordinating interviews, job details, and requisitions.
- Assist employees with walk-in inquiries and guide employees and managers through the transition to an HR self-service model.
- Help coordinate and communicate site-wide HR activities, including open enrollment, retirement sessions, and training.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure data integrity across HR platforms.
- Use advanced Excel skills for reporting and data management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in HR coordination, HR operations, or recruiting roles.
- Strong tech-savviness and hands-on experience using an HRIS.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data manipulation.
- Ability to quickly adopt new software and automation tools.
- Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to work autonomously and collaborate effectively within a team.
