Talascend is currently seeking a General Laborer for a contract opportunity with our client in Wilmington, North Carolina.
Overview
This role involves performing general labor tasks, including moving, stacking, sorting, and lifting various shipping materials in a warehouse environment. The position requires physical activity and adherence to safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Picking up and moving items unaided up to 50 pounds
- Moving, stacking, sorting, and preparing boxes, pallets, and other shipping materials for forklift operation
- Adhering to safety requirements, including wearing appropriate PPE and safety shoes
- Inspections of vehicle and/or personnel entering, while on site, and leaving the site
- Ensuring compliance with site rules, including no contraband and proper safety gear
Qualifications
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unaided
- Own safety shoes, with PPE provided
- Long pants and shirt with sleeves
- Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education
