Talascend is currently seeking a Strategic Sourcing Specialist for a contract opportunity with our client in Phoenix, Arizona.
Overview
The Strategic Sourcing Specialist II is responsible for supplier market research, supplier evaluation, and obtaining documentation required for solicitation efforts. The role supports the completion of compliant FAR 15 subcontract packages and partners closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with program requirements.
Responsibilities
- Execute FAR 15 subcontracts in accordance with FAR, DFARS, and other applicable regulations.
- Conduct supplier market research and evaluate supplier information to identify the most qualified suppliers.
- Obtain and manage solicitation documentation, including drawings, supplier scorecards, and historical purchase data.
- Support subcontract negotiations, including pricing, terms, and conditions.
- Manage key program suppliers and supplier relationships.
- Develop supplier strategies that deliver the best overall value.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure procurement compliance and program success.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, contracts & legal, business, or finance.
- US Person/US Citizen due to contractual requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education.
