Talascend is currently seeking a Manufacturing Support Associate for a contract opportunity with our client in Torrance, California.
Overview
This role involves supporting manufacturing operations through data collection, organizational tasks, and participation in improvement projects such as 5S and Kaisen events. The candidate will assist operators and ensure the smooth workflow of the machine shop.
Responsibilities
- Gather data needed to plan daily workflow in collaboration with the workflow specialist
- Participate in 5S projects and Kaisen events to improve shop organization and efficiency
- Organize and stock the tool crib area
- Assist operators by gathering necessary tooling to complete their jobs
- Maintain good organizational skills and a strong work ethic
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education
- Proficiency with computer skills
