Talascend is currently seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk for a contract opportunity with our client in Torrance, California.
Overview
This role involves confirming and recording the receipt of shipments, preparing items for shipping, and loading and unloading trucks. The position requires managing inter-departmental transport of materials and completing shipping and receiving reports.
Responsibilities
- Confirm and record receipt of shipments
- Prepare items for shipping and load/unload trucks
- Report damages and discrepancies for accounting and record-keeping
- Complete shipping and receiving reports
- Manage inter-departmental transport of materials
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 0-2 years of experience
- Familiar with shipping and receiving processes
- Strong computer skills, including email and Excel proficiency
- Forklift experience (preferred)
- Ability to work at least 2 Saturdays a month
- Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education.
