Talascend is currently seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst for a contract opportunity with our client in Plano, Texas. Must be bilingual in Korean/English.
Overview
The business intelligence analyst will design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions and data analytics to support strategic decision-making. This role partners with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to understand data needs, standardize reporting, improve efficiency, and optimize performance.
Responsibilities
- Extract insights and create dashboards, reports, and presentations tailored to different levels of management.
- Gather and organize data from internal and external sources.
- Optimize existing business intelligence solutions for performance and scalability.
- Monitor key performance indicators and business metrics to track progress and identify improvement opportunities.
- Analyze organizational performance, market trends, and industry benchmarks.
- Provide input for strategic planning and decision-making.
- Recommend business opportunities and cost-saving measures.
- Facilitate communication and alignment among departments.
- Identify opportunities to improve business operations through data analytics and process optimization.
- Propose and implement tools and systems that enhance productivity and streamline reporting procedures.
- Provide training and support to end users on business intelligence tools and data interpretation.
- Establish and document business processes.
- Maintain project communications data and business metrics.
- Review contracts, cost proposals, and contract supplements.
- Set up project and work breakdown structures.
- Track project budgets and expenditures, and monitor transactions and costs against budgets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in data analytics, statistics, computer science, business administration, business management, economics, finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Must be bilingual in Korean and English.
- At least 2 years of experience in business analysis, data modeling, data analysis, business operations, or a similar role.
- Proficiency with data analysis and dashboard development tools, including Power BI, SQL, Tableau, and Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to think analytically and plan strategically.
- Ability to collaborate effectively and work as part of a team.
- Results-oriented mindset and adaptability to change.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Knowledge of business and management principles related to strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.
- Ability to apply accounting and mathematical principles as needed.
- Ability to analyze business trends and project future revenues and expenses.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with statistical testing, modeling, forecasting, and project management principles.
- Experience with enterprise applications.
- Experience with project budgets, metrics, deadlines, and business process management.
