Talascend is currently seeking a Structured Cabling Technician for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Boca Raton, Florida.
Overview
The role involves advanced copper cabling installation, rack build-outs, and small-scope project execution with an emphasis on independence and leadership.
Responsibilities
- Own small scopes of work
- Install backbone cabling and supports
- Perform advanced terminations and testing
- Build and dress racks to professional standards
- Basic troubleshooting of cabling issues
- Understand grounding and bonding
- Assist with material planning and counts
- Train Installer I’s
- Communicate professionally with general contractors and customers
- Handle entry-level fiber handling awareness
Qualifications
- 3+ years cabling experience
- Demonstrated copper installation proficiency
- Valid Drivers License
Preferred Qualifications
- BICSI Installer 2 — Copper (INSTC) – Core credential
- Manufacturer system warranty certifications
- Lift certification (if relevant)
