Mobility Software Engineer
SUMMARY:
Our Client is developing the next generation of Intelligent Mobility. As a Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to contribute to architect and develop software services running on their prototype and production vehicles in the supporting Cloud Services and the data processing pipeline. This role provides a hands-on opportunity to develop future mobility concepts.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design standalone and Cloud native solution to realize next generation mobility concepts. Collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to build scalable solutions.
- Translate requirements from stakeholders into development tasks for the team.
- Develop high-quality, modular prototype software to support wide variety of requirements. Conduct end-to-end tests with prototypes and analyze experimental data.
- Mentor and manage junior members of the team.
- Track industry trends and evaluate new and alternative technologies; prepare proposals or reports related to present and future technology needs.
- This position will require testing the software in vehicle.
- Bachelors or Master’s in Computer Science or Engineering disciplines or related fields with industry experience related to Automotive Engineering and Computer Science.
- 5+ years programming in C/C++ and Python.
- Experience with Cloud Architecture and Micro Services design patterns.
- Experience with AWS Services (i.e., IOT Core, Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, Kinesis). Understanding of REST APIs and Micro Services.
- Strong experience with Relational and NoSQL Databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB etc.). Experience with Containerized platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
- Experience with Messaging protocols i.e., MQTT, AMQP and DDS.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
PREFERRED:
- AWS Certifications
- Experience utilizing Geo-Spatial Mapping Libraries i.e., Map Box, Google Maps, etc. Experience with Robotic Operating System (ROS).
- Experience with Web/Mobile technologies (i.e., JavaScript, NodeJS, React, HTML/CSS), DevOps and CI/CD Tool Chains (i.e., Jenkins, GitHub).
- Experience with Machine Learning and Data Analysis.
- Experience with Messaging Protocols i.e., MQTT, AMQP and DDS.
- Good understanding of the Security principles, including but not limited to, the use of certificates, authentication, authorization, data encryption, secret management, etc.
