Talascend is currently seeking a Project Manager – Warehouse Management System Software for a Direct Hire opportunity in Melrose Park, Illinois

SUMMARY:

Our client is a Leading Company in the Storage Systems market specializing in the design, manufacturing, sale and services of steel racking, warehouse automation, warehouse management software and other storage solutions.
This role will support the implementation of WMS (Warehouse Management System) Software, Easy WMS, at customer sites all over the US. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as a liaison between the customer contact(s) on the project site and our Company’s Departments to coordinate the implementation of the WMS Software.
  • Develop project timelines and budgets with milestone dates for completion of work.  Meet with internal resources and customers to ensure project is completed according to schedule and according to our Company’s methodologies.
  • Coordinate the work of the Company’s software project engineers and consultants, monitoring the completion of their work as the project progresses.
  • Meet with the customer to assist in their training and understanding of the WMS Software.
  • Write project reports, memoranda, and correspondence detailing project status and issues.
  • Negotiate with the customer to determine the cost, terms, and conditions of change orders.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, or IT.
  • At least 2 years of Project Management experience required.
  • An understanding of Logistics and Warehousing.
  • PMP with knowledge of Agile Methodologies is ideal.
  • Experience implementing a WMS Software and knowledge of software development project management ideal.
  • Ability to travel 30% (normally US domestic travel only).
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is ideal.
  • Candidates must be organized and methodical in their work, with the ability to learn quickly and adapt easily to change.  Candidates must be able to persevere through difficult work challenges with the highest degree of dedication. 
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills with the confidence to interact and communicate effectively with personnel from all levels of the organization.
