Talascend is currently seeking a Welder II for a contract opportunity located in Mobile, AL.

OVERVIEW: 

Operates mechanized welding equipment in fabrication shop while
adhering to company and government safety codes.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Operate machinery and equipment in accordance to company regulations.
  • Adhere to all safety codes and precautions while on site and on the job.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Pass on site welding test and training.
  • Minimum 2 years welding experience, preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel and talk or hear.
  • The employee frequently is required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • May be required to wear FRCs in varying extreme temperatures.
