Senior Business Analyst

Talascend is currently seeking a SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST for a contract opportunity located in Ridgefield Park, NJ.

DURATION: One year with possible extension.
LOCATION:  Ridgefield Park, NJ (ON-SITE/W2 ASSIGNMENT)

OVERVIEW: 

The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for managing the Forecasting and Supply Chain Management functions for our e-Commerce Home Appliance (HA) product categories.  Responsible for collaborating with the e-Commerce Business, Sales Management, Supply Chain Management, Finance, and the Product Marketing teams on a weekly basis to own and align on forecasting, supply, and inventory planning functions. In addition, responsible for managing the Promotion execution on our e-Commerce website, as and when required.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage the forecasting of demand, supply, and inventory for the designated products sold through SEA (Search Engine Advertising) e-Commerce to ensure attainment of revenue goals, optimization of in-stock and fulfillment rates, and customer satisfaction.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration to influence the e-Commerce demand on the supply chain and prioritize demand for order fulfillment based upon business objectives and customer segmentation.
• Confer with fulfillment Sales Management, Business Management, and SEA Supply Chain Management on-demand planning and forecasting assumptions and analysis.
• Measure key performance indicators to track and evaluate forecasts made to assist in assessing the effectiveness of the demand planning and forecasting function.
• Monitor and report weekly allocation of supply and develop escalation paths when/where allocation constraints will impact financial targets, or will impact CX (Customer Experience).
• Make recommendations on products to feature in merchandising or promotion planning to proactively prevent aging inventor.
• Support business, marketing, inventory or production strategies, and organizational / supply chain improvement opportunities to meet market needs.
• Review and assess risk to supply and demand variability and identify opportunities to manage and mitigate risk.
• Develop, implement, use tools and technology for managing buy boxes and analyzing the supply chain and fulfillment elements of the e-Commerce business.
• Manage promotional execution on the website by collaborating with pricing ops, merchandising and marketing team, as and when required.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Technology, or related field.
• 3 - 5 years of equivalent work experience is required.
• Knowledge of direct-to-consumer e-Commerce business processes and best practices, in order to inform decision-making processes.
• Supply Chain experience, with focus on demand planning, preferably within an e-Commerce business.
• Strong knowledge of traffic, conversion, and promotion activity on Sales demand.
• Prior experience with a Consumer Electronics Manufacturer and/or Retailer is strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of e-Commerce Best Practices and trends.
• Ability to navigate our organization to gather information, elicit feedback, gain buy-in, and engage others in B2C activities.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to work under pressure and deadlines. In addition, must be able to manage multiple projects and often competing priorities.
• Proficiency in all components of Microsoft Office Suite, Tableau, and Jira is strongly preferred.
