Talascend is currently seeking a Customer Plant Lead for a contract opportunity located in Trenton, MI.
Customer Plant Lead (CPL) will act as the Voice of the Customer by leveraging warranty data, returned parts information, and service records to identify actionable quality issues. This critical role involves close collaboration with the Manufacturing Plant’s Process Engineering Team and Control Tower Pre-Analysts to quickly detect emerging concerns and craft detailed, structured problem statements that accelerate issue resolution and enhance customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead daily Short Loop Market Meetings (morning and evening) to review new claims
  • Investigate warranty concerns and assign responsibility using GIMs (Global Issue Management)
  • Collaborate with plant teams to trace warranty issues to manufacturing processes
  • Expedite high-priority part analysis and ensure timely feedback
  • Serve as the link between Control Tower analysts and plant engineering teams
  • Accurately document vehicle warranty issues, including broken clean points and issue differentiation
  • Maintain comprehensive warranty claim coverage for assigned propulsion lines/plants
  • Support Field Early Warning (FEW) efforts during new product launches
Qualifications:
Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, supplier operations, or quality, including warranty experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to collect, analyze, and synthesize complex data
  • Clear, effective communicator across all organizational levels
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Detail-oriented, adaptable, and quick to learn
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Preferred:
  • Familiarity with overall automotive systems
  • Working knowledge of Palantir applications (MAP, Contour), GIM, Service Library, and PRAS+
  • Understanding of dealer service information systems
