Our client is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician for a long-term contract opportunity in Raleigh, NC. This position works a dupont schedule at a pharmaceutical company. 

Overview
The Maintenance Technician will perform a variety of mechanical tasks to install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot plant equipment and site facilities in a GMP environment. This position works a 12 hour rotating shift, holidays and weekends as needed. 7AM-7PM and 7PM-AM on a rotating schedule. 

Pay: $30.00/HR

Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair process equipment including hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems such as pumps, gear reducers, fans, centrifuges, boilers, compressors, and vacuum systems

  • Interface with OEMs and vendors; requisition equipment as needed

  • Complete work according to SOPs and WIs with accurate documentation

  • Use CMMS (Maximo) system to complete work orders

  • Perform repairs and modifications under the direction of Maintenance Supervisors and Plant Management

  • Support and participate in training programs

  • Communicate job status to Maintenance Supervisors

  • Support site safety programs

  • Support or lead failure analysis processes

  • Maintain good housekeeping in shop and job site

  • Wear required PPE including respirators, safety glasses, gloves, and chemical-resistant gear

Requirements

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required

  • Associate or Technical degree in a mechanical field preferred

  • 1–3 years of mechanical experience in a manufacturing operation, pharmacetical experience is a plus

  • Welding skills are a plus

  • Knowledge of basic hand tools

  • Ability to perform basic math

  • Ability to read measuring tape, calipers, and blueprints

  • Ability to read and follow written instructions

  • Experience with CMMS systems such as MP2 or Maximo

  • Demonstrated skills in learning on the fly, problem solving, and interpersonal communication

Working Conditions

  • Work is performed throughout the plant site, both indoors and outdoors

  • Exposure to heat, dirt, oil, grease, chemicals, fumes, and noise

  • Risk of injury from spills, leaks, sharp edges, pinch points, burns, and electricity

  • Regular lifting and carrying of objects up to 50 pounds

  • Climbing stairs and exerting physical effort may be required
