Logistics Clerk
Talascend is currently seeking a Logistics Clerk for a contract opportunity located in Phoenix, AZ.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Logistics Clerk to manage daily logistics operations, including inventory control, order fulfillment, distribution, and warehousing. This role ensures accurate inventory adjustments, coordinates inbound/outbound shipments, and works closely with freight carriers and internal departments to ensure on-time delivery. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, forklift experience, and the ability to evaluate cost-effective shipping options within DoD guidelines.
- Coordinate daily logistics, including inventory, shipping, and warehousing
- Review and maintain accurate inventory records and product adjustments
- Plan and schedule inbound/outbound shipments for internal/external customers
- Act as liaison between customers, freight carriers, and shipping department
- Investigate and resolve shipping delays and detention issues
- Optimize shipping methods for cost-efficiency per DoD regulations
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent (required)
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in logistics, with 3–5 years preferred
- Forklift: Experience operating a stand-up forklift (required)
- Technology: Proficient with Microsoft Outlook and Excel
