Talascend is currently seeking a Logistics Clerk for a contract opportunity located in Socorro, TX.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Logistics Clerk with forklift certification and hands-on driving experience to manage daily logistical operations. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of experience in logistics or warehouse operations and a strong understanding of inventory control, shipping, and Department of Defense guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a forklift to move, load, and unload materials (must meet minimal weight-handling requirements).
  • Coordinate daily logistics functions including inventory control, order fulfillment, and product distribution.
  • Organize warehousing and storage of goods for efficient inventory flow.
  • Review and update inventory records; ensure all product adjustments are accurately applied.
  • Plan and schedule inbound and outbound shipments based on operational and customer needs.
  • Act as liaison between customers, freight carriers, and the shipping department.
  • Investigate and resolve shipment detention issues to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Assist in cost control by consolidating shipments and selecting the most cost-effective methods in line with DoD guidelines.
Qualifications:
  • Forklift certified with recent forklift driving experience.
  • 3–5 years of relevant logistics or warehouse experience.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Department of Defense shipping protocols is a plus.
  • Ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
