Talascend is currently seeking a Logistics Clerk for a contract opportunity located in Socorro, TX.


Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Logistics Clerk with forklift experience to support daily logistical operations. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in inventory control, shipping/receiving, and order fulfillment, along with a proven ability to coordinate inbound and outbound shipments efficiently and cost-effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a forklift to move, load, and unload goods safely and efficiently.
  • Coordinate daily logistics operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and distribution.
  • Organize warehousing and storage of goods to ensure proper inventory control.
  • Review inventory records and ensure all product adjustments are accurately applied.
  • Plan and schedule incoming and outgoing shipments based on customer and business needs.
  • Serve as liaison between customers, freight carriers, and internal departments.
  • Investigate and resolve shipment delays or detention issues to ensure on-time deliveries.
  • Optimize shipping costs by evaluating and consolidating loads and selecting the most efficient shipping methods in compliance with Department of Defense guidelines.
Requirements:
  • 3–5 years of logistics experience, preferably in a warehouse or distribution environment.
  • Valid forklift operator certification and proven hands-on experience.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of shipping documentation and logistics systems.
  • Familiarity with Department of Defense shipping regulations is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
