Talascend is currently seeking a Powertrain Project Manager for an opportunity in Warren, MI.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide support for all integration activities
  • Serve as primary interface for cost, timing, program planning, launch support, and issue resolution
  • Collaborate closely with plant launch teams and indirect reports
  • Apply understanding of software, calibration, and issue triage to ensure successful powertrain integration

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Applied Physics, Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Computer Engineering (or related field) from an ABET-accredited university (or equivalent)
  • 5+ years of experience in design, development, and program management across broad powertrain functions or vehicle engineering (e.g., engine, transmission, driveline, packaging, controls, calibration)
  • Strong leadership, communication, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and proactively with minimal direction
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Understanding of product development processes, validation, KPIs, and gate reviews
  • Must be comfortable with potential travel and in-plant responsibilities

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Master’s degree in Engineering or an MBA from an ABET-accredited university (or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of vehicle cost processes and ER&D roll-up
  • Familiarity with CN (Change Notice) and CCD (Common Change Document) processes
  • Significant knowledge of automotive industry and competitive benchmarking
  • Full program life cycle experience
  • Previous experience as a Resident or Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment
