Talascend is currently seeking a Material Handler for a contract opportunity with our client in Acton, Massachusetts.

Overview

The role involves preparing and supporting shipping, packing, and palletizing of orders, as well as ensuring safe transport of stock to and from storage.

Responsibilities

  • Loads and unloads material within a warehouse or storage facility.
  • Utilizes hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or other handling equipment to move material to and from aircraft, trucks or trains and within the storage facility.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma with 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area.

Requirements

  • Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
  • Has knowledge of commonly-used practices and procedures within a particular field.
  • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
  • Works under immediate supervision.
  • Special considerations include lifting exceeding 30 lbs and exposure to substantial machine, chemical, biological or other physical risks.
