Manufacturing Production Associate
Talascend is currently seeking a Manufacturing Production Associate for a contract opportunity with our client in Phoenix, Arizona.
Overview
The role involves working in a manufacturing environment supporting product development and production, including tasks such as machine processing, dicing, grinding, set up, and data entry. The position requires handling delicate small parts and working within a controlled environment, with opportunities to work on semiconductor, medical device, and related electronics.
Responsibilities
- Read and follow work procedures and schematics or receive verbal instructions with limited supervision.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and other relevant documentation.
- Perform manufacturing and assembly operations on multiple product lines following procedures and work instructions.
- Maintain daily production output.
- Participate in and communicate improvements for environmental health and safety (EHS) and quality practices.
- Assist in quality control inspections when required.
- Collaborate with team leads, engineers, supervisors, and managers to improve quality and process efficiency.
- Support the development and proofing of new products, methods, tools, and test equipment.
- Set up equipment and perform first piece inspections to ensure quality levels.
- Conduct ongoing quality checks, record data, and report discrepancies promptly.
- Monitor machine and process variables, take corrective actions, and report issues impacting quality or output.
- Interface with quality, production, and documentation systems to provide accurate information.
- Complete activities required to deliver finished parts that meet quality standards on time.
- Follow all EHS and quality procedures and policies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or local equivalent.
- Ability to learn packaging and small part assembly.
- Proficient with computer programs like Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to understand and interpret written technical information.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and quality-minded work habits.
- Ability to learn multiple product lines.
- Ability to communicate in English (or local language).
- Ability to handle small, delicate parts and work with chemicals such as IPA, epoxy, and acetone.
- Ability to operate a microscope and perform detailed work.
- Ability to perform detail-oriented work and complete projects on time.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of manufacturing experience.
- Experience in creating and reviewing test documents.
- Experience in semiconductor, electronic assembly, or medical device manufacturing.
- Knowledge of soldering technologies and processes.
- Experience in metal fabrication, machining, or molding processes.
- Experience working within a clean room or controlled environment.
- Medical device manufacturing experience.
- Machining experience such as dicing or grinding.
Shift
This position is for first shift, from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch.
