Talascend is currently seeking a Database Conversion Specialist located in Waukesha, Wisconsin.

OVERVIEW
The role involves delivering technical expertise in database conversions and supporting implementation projects within the healthcare industry, ensuring successful deployment and client satisfaction through technical support and effective communication.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the implementation of MES solutions using the software suite, owning all technical deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Engage in project phases, contributing to architectural, design, and functional decisions to ensure delivery aligns with budget, timelines, and customer expectations.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and develop tailored strategies through site assessments.
  • Provide standard recommendations on workflows, applications, interfaces, reporting, testing, and data uploads during implementation.
  • Responsible for go-live preparation, support, and post-deployment check-ins, working collaboratively with internal teams and clients.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of technical disciplines and use prior experience to execute policy and strategy.
  • Use judgment and propose solutions outside set parameters with guidance, solving straightforward tasks using technical skills and analytic thinking.
  • Provide informal guidance to new team members and support ongoing project coordination and time management.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Strong MS SQL Server experience (development, interpret and understand complex queries, data validation, troubleshooting)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent troubleshooting and critical thinking
  • Capable of communicating technical information clearly and effectively
  • Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
  • Experience working cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams
  • Ability to manage multiple customer implementations simultaneously
  • Background in scripting or automation (Batch, PowerShell, or similar)
  • Experience with project coordination and time management for own projects
  • Handle fast-paced, high-pressure workload - self-starter
  • Excellent note-taking and documentation skills
  • Able to independently assess and prioritize work based on urgency and impact
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education.
