Talascend is currently seeking an Senior Program Manager for a contract opportunity with our client in Houston, Texas.

Overview

The senior program manager will be responsible for leading project planning, stakeholder management, and delivery to ensure successful execution of programs. The role involves coordinating cross-functional teams, managing project artifacts, and maintaining communication with stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

  • Build, own, and maintain the end-to-end project plan, ensuring tasks, milestones, and dependencies are clearly tracked.
  • Lead recurring project meetings: prepare agendas, drive discussions, assign action items, and follow through on deliverables.
  • Monitor projects and oversee project managers to ensure timelines, scope, and goals are met.
  • Identify, escalate, and proactively resolve issues by coordinating with the appropriate teams.
  • Experience with effective articulation and prioritization of issues and risks to senior executive levels and recommendations of mitigation strategies for decision makers.
  • Experience with establishment and facilitation of program steering committee and stakeholder forums and meetings.
  • Experience with providing project, program, and/or portfolio reporting to multi-stakeholders at senior executive levels.
  • Partner with cross-functional business units, including, Salesforce, WMHS, and WM.
  • Translate complex information into clear communications for stakeholders at all levels.
  • Build strong relationships across teams to support collaboration and seamless execution.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define business requirements.
  • Document and maintain project artifacts (requirements, process flows, status reports, decision logs).
  • Track and report progress against the plan; flag risks early and drive mitigation.
  • Support testing cycles, readiness activities, and change management tasks as needed.

Qualifications

  • Relevant experience with program management and project leadership
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience with project planning tools and documentation
  • Ability to identify and mitigate risks effectively
