ServiceNow Integration Specialist
Talascend is currently seeking a ServiceNow Integration Specialist for a contract opportunity with our client in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Overview
We are looking for a senior ServiceNow integration specialist responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex integrations between the ServiceNow platform and external enterprise systems. This role involves serving as a technical subject matter expert in integration architecture, ensuring secure, scalable, and reliable data exchange across various platforms and services.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and support integrations between ServiceNow and third-party systems using REST, SOAP, web services, IntegrationHub spokes, and MID Servers
- Develop inbound and outbound integrations, including bi-directional data synchronization and event-driven workflows
- Create and maintain import sets, transform maps, and data reconciliation logic to ensure data accuracy and normalization
- Define integration patterns, standards, and reusable components aligned with enterprise architecture guidelines
- Ensure integrations follow best practices for performance, security, and maintainability
- Support CMDB and CSDM alignment by integrating authoritative data sources and maintaining data quality
- Monitor integrations, implement logging and error handling mechanisms, and resolve complex integration issues
- Perform performance tuning and root cause analysis for failed or degraded integrations
- Support system upgrades and platform releases by validating integration compatibility
- Partner with architects, developers, infrastructure teams, and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior developers or integration specialists
- Document integration designs, data mappings, and operational runbooks
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience with ServiceNow integrations, including REST, SOAP, IntegrationHub, and MID Server architecture
- 3+ years experience integrating with enterprise systems such as monitoring tools, HR platforms, cloud services, identity providers, or asset systems
- 5+ years of ServiceNow platform experience with a focus on integrating with enterprise environments
- Solid understanding of authentication and security concepts (OAuth, certificates, tokens)
- Proficiency in JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting (Business Rules, Script Includes, APIs)
- Proven ability to design and support complex, multi-system integrations
- Experience working in ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, HR, or Security use cases
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Comfortable working independently and leading technical discussions
Preferred Qualifications
- ServiceNow certifications (e.g., CSA, CAD, Integration related CIS)
- Experience with CMDB, CSDM, Discovery, or Service Mapping
- Ability to anticipate customer needs
