Talascend is currently seeking an IT Support Specialist for a contract opportunity with our client in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Overview

The role provides hands-on local IT execution and operational support, acting as the primary interface between business users, central IT, and external vendors. The position ensures reliable delivery of IT and OT services, timely issue resolution, and effective support of deployments and upgrades.

Responsibilities

  • Execute local IT project activities, including coordination with vendors and oversight of assigned IT tasks and timelines
  • Manage escalations for IT and OT issues and incidents, ensuring proper follow-up and resolution with global or regional teams
  • Support and actively participate in IT and OT deployments, upgrades, and rollout activities
  • Provide local IT support with working knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Level 1 workplace and network support (end-user devices, connectivity, basic network troubleshooting)
  • Prepare, configure, and deploy new computers, including asset inventory tagging and documentation

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience in local IT operations and execution
  • Ability to coordinate stakeholders (vendors, internal IT teams, business users)
  • Practical knowledge of Microsoft Azure environments and enterprise IT standards (basic)
  • Experience providing Level 1 workplace and network support (basic)
  • Familiarity with IT asset management, device provisioning, and inventory control
  • Strong communication and escalation management skills
