Mechanical Assembler
Talascend is currently seeking a Mechanical Assembler for a contract opportunity with our client in Tempe, Arizona.
Overview
as an assembly mechanic, you will play a key role in building, maintaining, and testing mechanical equipment, machinery, and components. responsibilities include identifying worn or damaged parts, ordering replacements, and ensuring all machinery operates correctly.
Responsibilities
- construct and assemble mechanical components to meet quality standards and specifications
- perform routine maintenance and conduct tests to verify functionality and safety
- detect parts requiring replacement due to wear or malfunction
- place orders for new parts as needed to maintain operational efficiency
- reports to a supervisor or manager
- worker will use TWB for weekly time reporting
- supplier should register the worker in Fieldglass; worker does not require direct access
Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred; apprenticeship or formal training may be required
- 2 years of experience in the field or related area
- familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in mechanical assembly
- ability to work under direct supervision and follow established guidelines
