Talascend is currently seeking an Assembly Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Acton, Massachusetts.

Overview

The role involves assembling fabricated parts, testing and calibrating components to meet product specifications, and ensuring quality standards. The technician will also handle maintaining a clean work area, following safety procedures, and documenting production data.

Responsibilities

  • Assembling fabricated parts at floor stations according to product specifications
  • Testing and calibrating parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances
  • Using hand tools and power tools to assemble units
  • Identifying units that fail tests or tolerance levels and performing repairs as necessary
  • Inspecting products to ensure they meet quality standards
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area for safety and efficiency
  • Following all safety and operational procedures
  • Recording production data and maintaining accurate records

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
  • May require 2-4 years of experience in the field or related area
  • Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
  • Ability to work under immediate supervision and follow instructions and guidelines
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education
