Field Service Technician
Talascend is currently seeking a Customer Support Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Sterling Heights, Michigan.
Overview
This role involves performing customer support activities related to the installation, modification, and repair of complex equipment and systems. Responsibilities include conducting on-site installation and testing of equipment to ensure proper working order, isolating start-up malfunctions, and taking corrective actions. The role requires preparing daily logs and reports on work performed.
Responsibilities
- Perform customer support activities including installation, modification, and repair of equipment and systems
- Conduct on-site installation and testing of equipment for proper operation
- Isolate malfunctions during start-up and implement corrective actions
- Prepare daily logs and reports on work performed
- Follow established guidelines, procedures, and policies
- Work on routine assignments with detailed instructions
- Interact daily with supervisor, peer groups, and customers
Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent
- 1+ years of related experience
- Ability to use common sense to carry out basic instructions and activities
