Repair Technician
Talascend is currently seeking a Repair Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Noblesville, Indiana.
Overview
This role involves supporting the manufacture, configuration, refurbishment, and repair of Ultrasound machines within a manufacturing environment. The technician will adhere to quality standards and perform various repair and assembly tasks to ensure product quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Comply with all quality management system requirements and applicable laws/regulations
- Utilize controlled, released documentation to perform work tasks and processes
- Maintain required training records and follow site safety policies
- Evaluate components, order replacement parts, and create work orders
- Dismantle systems, clean components, and repair or replace damaged parts
- Complete service corrective actions and system software/hardware upgrades
- Reassemble systems, install options and accessories
- Verify system operation through diagnostic and functional tests
- Record test results and update device history records
- Identify and handle products that fail acceptance criteria
- Maintain inventory records, tools, and test equipment calibration
- Assist in identifying manufacturing issues and help implement solutions
- Collaborate with engineers, team members, and site leaders to improve process quality and efficiency
- Focus on improving on-time delivery and overall customer experience
Qualifications
- High school diploma or local equivalent plus 3 or more years of relevant experience
- Ability to communicate, receive, and understand written and verbal instructions in English
- Flexibility to work independently and in a team with varied tasks
- Excellent attendance, accountability, teamwork, initiative, and work ethic
- Good time management skills, desire to learn, and adaptability
- Attention to detail and focus on product quality and safety
- Demonstrated capability in at least three of the key skills listed below
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher in technology or engineering related discipline
- Experience in manufacturing or service roles within a regulated industry (Medical Device, etc.)
- Proficiency in key skills such as mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting, technical documentation, computer proficiency, and process improvement
