Electronics Hardware TestEngineer
Talascend is currently seeking an Electronics Hardware Test Engineer for a contract opportunity with our client in Phoenix, Arizona.
Overview
This role involves supporting high visibility projects by performing qualification testing and validation of electronic hardware, primarily focusing on DO-160 compliance and regulatory testing to ensure product certification and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute environmental and EMI qualification tests on avionics products
- Prepare test reports for regulatory compliance
- Assist in product certification for customer and regulatory acceptance
- Communicate non-compliance incidents to pertinent parties
- Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
- 6+ years of experience in hardware/product engineering
- Experience in environmental and/or EMI testing for avionics product qualification
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with product qualification guidance standards (DO-160, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-810, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of electronic display principles
- Basic knowledge of hardware engineering standards and specifications
- Experience with hardware verification testing
- Experience with optical testing/evaluation instrumentation for electronic display characterization
- Application of basic engineering techniques to optimize design of products, parts, systems or processes
- Clear and concise communication skills
