Electromechanical Technician
Talascend is currently seeking an Electromechanical Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Torrance, California.
Overview
This role involves analyzing blueprints and electrical schematics, performing maintenance and repairs in electro-mechanical systems, and documenting work to improve efficiency. The technician will also lead and direct the work of others as needed.
Responsibilities
- Study and record time, motion, methods, and speed to improve efficiency and establish standard production rates
- Analyze blueprints and electrical schematics related to electro-mechanical systems
- Perform soldering on printed circuit boards, including new work and rework, adhering to J-standard procedures
- Manufacture and repair cables and harnesses
- Fabricate test boxes and perform computer repairs as required
- Lead and direct the work of other technicians when necessary
- Report to a manager or department head, exercising a high degree of creativity and latitude in tasks
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with 4-6 years of experience in the field
- Familiarity with electro-mechanical systems, blueprints, and electrical schematics
- Proficiency in J-standard soldering for printed circuit boards
- Experience in manufacturing and repairing cables and harnesses
- Skills in computer repairs and fabrication of test boxes
- Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education
Shift
Shift is from 5am to 1:30pm PST.
