Financial Analyst
Talascend is currently seeking a Financial Analyst for a long-term contract opportunity with our client in Santa Ana, California.
Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical financial analyst to join our finance team. This role involves gathering and analyzing financial information, conducting forecasts, and supporting investment decision-making processes.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of assets in the ERP system, including master data, budgeting, and project tracking
- Track and analyze IT-related expenses, perform monthly accruals and variance analysis
- Monitor and manage corporate overheads, analyzing actual vs. budgeted expenses
- Assist with the month-end closing process, ensuring GAAP compliance
- Help develop the annual budget and rolling forecasts for operational expenses
- Assemble spreadsheets, draw charts and graphs for technical reports
- Analyze financial information to produce forecasts of business, industry, and economic conditions
- Interpret data affecting investment programs and assess future trends and risks
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Preferred) or Finance
- 2-4 years of experience in Accounting, Cost Accounting, or Operational Finance
- Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPS, and Basic Macros)
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau or Power BI) is a plus
- Exposure to ERP systems or Logistics/TMS/WMS software
- Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education
- Ability to work independently and meet tight reporting deadlines
- Ability to manage and work effectively within cross-functional groups
- Professional fluency in both English and Korean (written and verbal) is preferred
