Talascend is currently seeking a Mobile Facility Engineer for a contract-to-hire opportunity with our client in Plymouth, Michigan

Overview

The HVAC/Refrigeration Technician is responsible for operating, inspecting, and maintaining all HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and production equipment and systems in assigned facilities to ensure optimal performance, energy efficiency, safety, and minimal downtime. The role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on a variety of systems and components, with a focus on technical expertise and multi-skilled capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, inspect, and maintain HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and production equipment and systems.

  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of four (4) years of technical experience in building engineering, with strong HVAC/R, plumbing, electrical, and equipment repair knowledge
  • HVAC technician must have a Universal CFC recovery certification (or within 90 days of employment)
  • Valid state driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Knowledge of system design and applications

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3rd party certification in relevant fields
  • Experience with computer applications such as Word and Excel
  • Trades school or documented apprenticeship in electrical, refrigeration, or HVAC systems
