Facilities Manager
Talascend is currently seeking a Facilities Manager for a contract opportunity with our client in Plainfield, Indiana.
Overview
The Facilities Manager will be responsible for supporting the transition and stabilization of an industrial facility, overseeing daily operations, managing vendors, and leading the onsite team to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient facility performance over a 12-month fixed-term assignment.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day facility operations across building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing infrastructure.
- Ensure execution of preventative and reactive maintenance programs.
- Oversee third-party vendors and service providers, monitoring performance against KPIs and SLAs.
- Support site mobilization activities, including vendor onboarding and service implementation.
- Coordinate transfer of site knowledge, documentation, and asset information.
- Utilize CMMS platforms to manage work order intake, tracking, and reporting.
- Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for client stakeholders, providing regular updates on operational performance, risks, and service delivery.
- Track key operational metrics, develop reports, and support decision-making processes.
- Support site stabilization efforts through scope clarification and vendor management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in facilities management, engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in facilities management or integrated services delivery.
- Strong knowledge of building systems and maintenance practices.
- Experience managing vendors and service contracts.
- Familiarity with CMMS platforms (Corrigo preferred).
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
