Maintenance Supervisor
Talascend is currently seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for a contract opportunity with our client in Wentzville, Missouri.
Overview
This role involves supervising the hourly workforce within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, primarily focusing on maintaining and repairing various types of machines, especially conveyance machines, to support production operations.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and direct an hourly workforce of approximately 15 employees in daily maintenance activities.
- Manage machine repairs and ensure reliable operation to prevent breakdowns.
- Oversee weekend coverage and coordinate with contract workers as needed.
- Provide guidance and support to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working closely with journeymen, such as in auto repair or similar fields.
- Technical manufacturing experience and familiarity with conveyance machines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to learn quickly and demonstrate self-motivation.
- Experience supervising skilled trades, preferably UAW.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically and mentally demanding environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated hands-on experience as a journeyman or in a similar skilled trade role.
- Background in auto repair or maintenance shops.
