Production Supervisor
Talascend is currently seeking a Production Supervisor for a contract opportunity with our client in Wentzville, Missouri.
Overview
The main function of a production supervisor is to supervise and coordinate the activities of production and operating workers. This role involves leading teams, managing daily operations, and driving continuous improvement in line with safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
Responsibilities
- Recommend measures to motivate employees and improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.
- Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems.
- Follow production tracking and quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, and maintenance to detect problems.
- Train, evaluate, and resolve personnel grievances.
- Prepare and maintain daily required documentation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- More than 3 years of manufacturing experience.
- Proficiency with computer skills such as Kronos, Excel, Word.
- Experience as a people leader.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Willingness and ability to learn new processes.
- Ability to handle tough conversations with employees.
