Talascend is currently seeking a Hydraulic Testing Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Torrance, California.

Overview

This role involves performing high-volume, repetitive testing of commercial and military precision hydraulic and pneumatic systems, primarily in fluid power. The technician will conduct high-pressure testing, troubleshoot, and ensure quality standards are maintained, often working in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-pressure hydraulic and pneumatic testing on commercial and military systems
  • Lifting up to 35 lbs as required
  • Record time, motion, methods, and speed to improve efficiency and establish standard production rates
  • Report to the supervisor or department head, with potential to lead and direct others
  • Utilize TWB for weekly time reporting and coordinate registration in Fieldglass system
  • Work self-motivated with minimal supervision, taking initiative to complete tasks proactively
  • Conduct troubleshooting and maintenance related to fluid power testing

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 4-6 years of experience in hydraulic or pneumatic testing
  • Familiarity with testing concepts, practices, and procedures in the field
  • Ability to make timely decisions in complex situations
  • Strong record-keeping and record analysis skills
  • Self-motivated with initiative, able to work independently
