Talascend is currently seeking a Construction Automation Specialist for a contract opportunity with our client in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.

Overview

This role involves supporting the uranium processing facility construction organization by monitoring construction applications, managing data feeds, assessing data quality, and supporting project tool implementations. The position requires field inspections and technical expertise in database administration and report development.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor construction Standard Applications Programs (BSAPs) and assure data feeds from engineering and procurement are aligned and functioning properly.
  • Assess data quality in TEAMWorks to ensure proper management of construction data input.
  • Perform SQL and Oracle database administration.
  • Develop reports using SSRS and PowerBI.
  • Create Process Director forms and support software quality assurance documentation.
  • Support the implementation of project tools.
  • Conduct field inspections and participate in project walk-downs, including activities like climbing ladders, scaffolding, and maneuvering in confined spaces.

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-starter, highly motivated, capable of working with minimal supervision and in team environments.
  • Experience with SQL and Oracle database administration.
  • Experience developing complex reports/views from multiple data sources.
  • Experience with SQA documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge and experience of DOE, DOD, and/or commercial nuclear construction projects.
  • Working knowledge of Standard Work Processes Procedures (SWPPs) and associated applications.
  • Knowledge of the client's “Zero Accidents” safety program.
  • Recent experience in a construction automation role within a project environment.
  • Experience with TeamWorks, Process Director, SSRS, PowerBI, Fighter Series, and related applications.
  • Recent experience with SQA documentation.
