Talascend is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Brentwood, Tennessee.

Overview

The maintenance technician will be responsible for performing various repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting tasks within a commercial or manufacturing environment, ensuring building systems operate efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

  • Complete assigned tasks including painting, pressure washing, maintaining lighting systems, plumbing, HVAC systems, water treatment, locksmith work, and general maintenance within licensing requirements
  • Maintain work order system daily and complete tenant service requests
  • Perform preventive maintenance and inspections
  • Support on-call and emergency response situations as needed
  • Troubleshoot electrical, DDC, pneumatic controls, and other building systems
  • Follow all safety procedures and participate in ongoing training
  • Assist with other projects and tasks as assigned

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of related work experience in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or carpentry
  • Trade school education, union training, military service, or college background preferred
  • Universal CFC EPA certification or interest in achieving certification within the first year (with assistance)
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and frequently climb, bend, kneel, and lift
  • Comfort using ladders up to 30 feet tall
  • Strong customer service skills
