Facilities Manager
Talascend is currently seeking a Facilities Manager for a contract opportunity with our client in Jericho, New York.
Overview
The facilities manager will be responsible for ensuring the proper operation and management of banking facility operations, overseeing maintenance, vendor coordination, and property management to support the client’s retail banking environment.
Responsibilities
- Support the senior facilities manager and account lead in implementing short- and long-term goals and projects
- Develop and execute programs to reduce operating costs
- Conduct facilities inspections and ensure timely and accurate reporting
- Manage work assignments for technicians, vendors, and contractors
- Lead facilities staff to deliver expected service levels within the designated budget
- Assist in developing and implementing the annual management plan for the facilities
- Oversee capital and expense budgets, including preparation and variance reporting
- Ensure client satisfaction through effective communication and responsiveness
- Recommend capital improvements and manage budgets accordingly
- Follow performance plans and achieve key performance indicators
- Manage contractors on site, ensuring compliance with policies and safety standards
- Oversee the overall service delivery for contracted services
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in facilities management
- 5+ years of industry experience in retail, preferably banking facilities
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Experience managing technical and administrative staff
- Proficiency in MS Office programs such as Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Proficiency in CMMS systems
- Ability to manage a portfolio of sites primarily located in NYC and Long Island, NY
