Talascend is currently seeking a Facilities Manager for a contract opportunity with our client in Jersey City, New Jersey.

Overview

This role involves supporting day-to-day facilities operations at a regional office, ensuring a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment, and providing operational support to enhance workplace experience for employees and visitors.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate office events and support team activities
  • Maintain compliance with sustainability and LEED standards
  • Oversee office upkeep, repairs, and maintenance
  • Coordinate systems maintenance and monitor security systems
  • Manage regional office budget, expense tracking, and invoice processing
  • Support AV operations and troubleshoot equipment
  • Coordinate furniture moves and office reconfigurations
  • Manage vendors, service schedules, and performance
  • Handle occupancy and space planning using approved tools
  • Support onboarding logistics like badges, parking, and access
  • Partner with building management on crisis response and work orders
  • Independently manage objectives, resources, and schedules
  • Identify process improvements and establish procedures
  • Serve as operational advisor and support business continuity
  • Coordinate activities across teams and with building management
  • Conduct inspections of office conditions and supplies
  • Manage office and pantry inventory and cleanliness
  • Create and resolve facilities-related service tickets
  • Oversee mail, packages, and visitor activities
  • Support employee orientation and office events
  • Provide backup support for regional facilities needs
  • Assist with New York office space as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • 5–8 years of experience in facilities operations, workplace management, or office management
  • Experience managing office budgets, expenses, and vendors
  • Familiarity with sustainability programs or LEED standards is a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and workplace systems
  • Industry certifications such as BOMA RPA, FMA, or IFMA FMP are a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education
