Procurement Contract Specialist
Talascend is currently seeking a Procurement Contract Specialist for a contract opportunity with our client in Hazelwood, Missouri.
Overview
The Procurement Contract Specialist role is a collaborative, results-oriented position supporting sourcing and contract management activities across indirect categories, including commercial, IT, corporate services, and S&T. The role works with Category Managers to execute supplier contracts through the contract lifecycle management tool (CLM).
Responsibilities
- Collaborate and support the documentation of a comprehensive set of processes to provide back-office support to category and contract management through the CLM.
- Collaborate with Legal and the Procurement Team to ensure appropriate application of contracting guidelines for varying contract scenarios.
- Perform strong statement of work (SOW) review and negotiation.
- Communicate clearly with various stakeholders that partner with Procurement.
- Maintain documents and document metadata within the CLM.
- Promote corporate objectives and change initiatives by ensuring the sourcing team supports overall company direction and growth.
- Work efficiently and prioritize tasks based on corporate objectives and needs.
- Monitor Procurement and end user compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance or a related business field (preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or contract management (preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the field of indirect procurement (preferred).
- Intermediate to expert level skills with regard to CLM tool utilization, contract management, and deadline management.
- Experience with IntelAgree or other CLM (preferred).
- Intermediate to expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to interface with internal stakeholders and suppliers using strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
- Solid multi-phase project management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education.
Preferred Qualifications
- Project management experience in a corporate and/or professional services environment.
- Experience with IntelAgree or other CLM.
