Project Coordinator
Talascend is currently seeking a Project Coordinator for a contract opportunity with our client in Framingham, Massachusetts.
Overview
This role involves supporting project management activities for electric utility projects, coordinating across engineering teams, managing project documentation, and ensuring timely delivery of project milestones within budget and scope.
Responsibilities
- Assist project managers in overseeing transmission line design projects for electric utilities.
- Manage project costs, schedule, and scope, developing recovery plans as needed.
- Communicate effectively with clients, internal teams, contractors, and support personnel.
- Create and maintain resource-loaded schedules.
- Coordinate with engineering leads to track and execute client deliverables.
- Assist with preparing bid documents, cost estimates, and proposals.
- Complete monthly invoicing, accruals, and accounts receivable processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance, or related discipline.
- 2+ years of experience in project management or project coordinating.
- Proficient in MS Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to plan, organize, and track technical efforts and project costs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with electric power industry and business issues related to power delivery services.
- Desire to obtain PMP certification.
- Experience with project management software such as Workfront, MS Project, or P6.
- Previous exposure to electrical and construction projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management tools.
This position requires onsite work in the Framingham, MA office. The standard work schedule is 5/40 hours, with no overtime expected.
