Talascend is currently seeking a Facilities Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Phoenix, Arizona.

Overview

The main function of a facilities technician is to provide general maintenance support for the assigned buildings, ensuring safety, security, and proper operation of the facility.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the facility to ensure that it remains safe, secure, and well-maintained.
  • Troubleshoot power, HVAC system and controls, and mechanical systems.
  • Maintain general & preventative maintenance, carpentry, plumbing systems, and vendor management.
  • Replace lighting system bulbs and ballasts as needed.
  • Move office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials, as requested.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 5-7 years of experience required.
  • Forklift certified.
  • Aerial certification.
  • Experience with installing, removing doors, basic maintenance, carpentry.
  • Interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic ability to work independently and manage one's time.
  • Basic knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
