Maintenance Technician
Talascend is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Goodyear, Arizona.
Overview
The Maintenance Technician supports operation, inspection, and maintenance processes of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems in assigned facilities. The role involves performing inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance, as well as assisting with building-related tasks to ensure smooth facility operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and respond to repair work orders on facility mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other systems and equipment.
- Conduct inspections and report on conditions affecting client occupancy and operations.
- Handle general interior maintenance tasks such as hanging pictures, repairing furniture, and doors.
- Assist with maintenance and repair of building and equipment as directed by the operations team.
- Move office furniture, machinery, and equipment as requested.
- Replace lighting and ballasts, clean HVAC coils, change filters and belts.
- Complete hazard assessments and ensure safety procedures are followed.
- Maintain compliance with applicable ordinances, codes, and laws.
- Support administrative tasks including submitting receipts, updating work order statuses, and utilizing CMMS systems.
- Perform safety inspections and participate in safety meetings.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 to 3 years of applicable experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and electrical work
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Valid state driver’s license
- Licenses as required by jurisdiction (if applicable)
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications related to maintenance or trades
