Facilities Technician
Talascend is currently seeking a Facilities Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Corvallis, Oregon.
Overview
The main function of a facilities technician is to provide general maintenance support for the assigned buildings, ensuring safety, security, and proper operation of various systems.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the facility to ensure that it remains safe, secure, and well-maintained.
- Troubleshoot power, HVAC system and controls, and mechanical systems.
- Maintain general & preventative maintenance, carpentry, plumbing systems, and vendor management.
- Replace lighting system bulbs and ballasts as needed.
- Move office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials, as requested.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 10+ years of experience required.
- Electrical knowledge and HVAC equipment/control systems experience.
- Commercial and industrial experience with a controls background.
- Experience with building management systems.
- Well-rounded commercial HVAC experience including pumps, boilers, chillers, controls, etc.
- Experience managing a team of up to five workers is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- EPA Universal certification highly preferred.
- LME or LEB certification is a plus.
