Facilities Maintenance Technician
Talascend is currently seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Holly Springs, North Carolina.
Overview
The main function of a facilities technician is to provide general maintenance support for the assigned buildings, ensuring safety, security, and proper functioning of the facility.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the facility to ensure that it remains safe, secure, and well-maintained.
- Troubleshoot power, HVAC system and controls, and mechanical systems.
- Maintain general & preventative maintenance, carpentry, plumbing systems, and vendor management.
- Replace lighting system bulbs and ballasts as needed.
- Move office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials, as requested.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 5-7 years of experience required.
- Prior maintenance technician experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical, food industry, or regulated environment.
- Mechanical aptitude, including hydraulics and electrical basics.
- Experience with minor maintenance tasks such as lightbulb replacements and vendor escorting.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education.
