Inventory Data Entry Specialist
Talascend is currently seeking an Inventory Data Entry Specialist for a contract opportunity with our client in Rosemont, Illinois.
Overview
This role involves managing supply portal orders, manual data entry, order tracking, appointment follow-up, and reporting. The position requires analyzing discrepancies in inventory and sales data to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Enter forecasted orders, purchase orders, and adjustments accurately and on time.
- Determine pallet weight and truck capacity.
- Maintain accurate records, including variance reports of items ordered versus received, forecasted versus sales, and inventory levels versus targets.
- Verify supplier order confirmations and delivery dates.
- Track inbound orders to ensure appointment times are met and trucks are received.
- Maintain supplier portals and troubleshoot system challenges.
- Utilize computer applications effectively and update vital information promptly.
- Work with operations to ensure accurate inventory levels are recorded.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or GED with 2+ years of experience in data entry.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas such as v-lookups and x-lookups.
- Ability to work independently and perform business mathematical tasks.
- Strong analytical skills to manage large pools of data accurately and efficiently.
- Superior organizational skills to handle extensive inventory and SKUs.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and meet firm deadlines.
- Ability to pass a post-offer background and drug test.
